Implementation of Scientific Committee recommendations and COST policies:

  • the level of involvement of Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) should be maintained and a plan

should be developed and implemented to ensure the full involvement of ITC representatives in all aspects of the Action's implementation (including in Action leadership positions)

  • the level of involvement of Early Career Investigators (ECIs) should be increased and a plan should

be developed and implemented to ensure the full involvement of ECIs in all aspects of the Action's implementation (including in Action leadership positions)

  • the gender balance should be improved and a plan should be developed and implemented to ensure

gender balance in all aspects of the Action's implementation (including in Action leadership positions).

SLIDE 18

Underground4Value - First MC meeting Brussels, April 9th 2019

Establishment of Action Management structure:

  • The establishment of the Action leadership positions must respect the COST Policies and take

into consideration the Scientific Committee recommendations

  • For promoting a Participatory Approach to the candidatures, the main proposer invited all MCs

to candidate themselves or to suggest potential candidates to the Leadership and managing roles

  • Candidates have been contacted for agreeing on the proposed role
  • The proposal takes into account both needs: Scientific Committee recommendations and the

pool results, that is, the willingness of the MC members

  • However, changes are still possible for the benefit of the Action
