Objectives of the Master Plan + Friends Objects of Association

  • BG’s everywhere are responsible for ex situ protection of

economically and ecologically important plants.

  • The Gold Coast is rich in natural area diversity and should be

‘shown off’ in its central location. Telling the local story….

  • Giving our locals and our visitors a sense of local place and

identity.

  • Helping people discover the pleasure and benefits of plants ,

gardening and associated wildlife.

  • Helping people recognise that everyone has a role to

contribute to a healthier environment.

  • Inviting people to become part of the BG’s community.
  • Showing that creating something of nature is beautiful ..both

to see and to create.

in a nutshell …. why interpret and what’s to interpret?
