Remote Hearings: Background

Remote Hearing have been implemented over the past few weeks with Judges Manley and Sylva to help CJ involved individuals maintain stability in the community during the pandemic.

We began conducting Remote Hearings for clients in Dept. 60 and 61 who are connected to community based Mental Health Providers.

Remote Hearings have been effective in encouraging and motivating clients to adhere to treatment program requirements and reducing recidivism.

We inviting all SUTS and MH partners with clients in these two courts to participate in Remote Hearings.

This will allow Treatment Providers the

  • pportunity to engage with these clients who

might be struggling or need some extra support from the court while in court appearances are being waived during the pandemic.
