Beddington and Wallington Local Committee: Public Realm Priorities 2012/13

  • +£90k public realm funding for 2012/13.
  • 3+ years of successful public realm funding – how to continue making an

impact while focusing on residents’ priorities? What should our priorities be for the year ahead and what local projects will help to address them?

  • These slides recap on what the 2011 Residents’ Survey said for our area* -

how can we use this to shape ideas going forward?

  • What innovative and creative ideas do you have for new local projects?
  • Think about what is happening over the next year – the Diamond Jubilee, the

Olympics.

  • Think about what needs improving, and practical ways we can work together

(with a bit of public realm money) to address these e.g. providing poop-a- scoops, cleaning equipment, paint, plants.

* The 2011 Residents’ Survey was a face-to-face survey of 1014 people aged 16+ living in Sutton. These slides show some of the key results for the Beddington and Wallington Local Committee area based on responses from 218 residents in the wards of Beddington North, Beddington South, Wallington North and Wallington South.
