Voice Annunciator Volume • Our current voice annunciator system has an AGC (“Automatic Gain Control”) feature which controls the volume automatically. – SFMTA has deployed this technology since late 90’s. • SFMTA will be changing to a new voice annunciator system in the near future by using the Harris Radio System.
Aisle Safety Light Brightness • Aisle lights come on when the front doors open • New buses have a glare shield fitted on the lights to prevent blinding Without glare shield With glare shield
Aisle Safety Light Brightness • SFMTA is investigating options to outfit older buses with the glare shield • Why hasn’t the glare shield been put on older coaches yet? – Installation currently may require major disassembly of the bus.
