SLIDE 11

As part of the Data Collection Process for the 2018 Facility Study, the most recent available 2016 PDE Enrollment Projections were used for reference

  • 2015-16 K-12 Actual Enrollments – 12,736
  • 2019-20 K-12 PDE Projected Enrollments – 12,596

(Actual October 1, 2019 K-12 Enrollments – 12,761 which indicate enrollments are stable)

  • 2025-26 Projected Enrollments – 12,794

Note: The PDE model only uses actual enrollments, births and retention rates to formulate projections. Other factors may contribute to accurately projecting enrollments.

SLIDE 12

The School District commissioned the Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) to prepare District-wide Enrollment Projections. MCPC considers the progression model that inherently reflects all the recent trends that are occurring within the School District. The report was issued in 2017.

  • 2019-20 MCPC Projected Enrollments – 12,753

(Actual October 1, 2019 K-12 Enrollments – 12,761)

  • 2021-22 Projected Enrollments – 12,789

Note: Enrollment Projections beyond 5-years are progressively less

  • accurate. For the purposes of the 2018 Facility Study, the MCPC

projections were used which indicate that enrollments are stable.
