From the outset, Charles Back has put social accountability at the forefront of the Fairview ethos. Owning upwards of 95% of the farms that supply the grapes for winemaking has allowed Fairview to control its own labor, farming and production processes – ensuring a history of fairness and empowerment for the farm workers and their families. Fairview’s Fairtrade accreditation allows the brand to continue to build upon the vision bringing further benefit and upliftment to the community

Goats do Roam Range Proudly Adorn the Integrity & Sustainability Seal

A certification seal appears on each container of wine which has been certified by the Wine and Spirit Board. This seal is a guarantee of origin, vintage and variety as stated on the wine label. It is also a guarantee the wine compiles with IPW criteria.

Anthony de Jager Winemaker

Anthony joined Fairview as winemaker in December 1996. Since joining the ever-evolving, innovative Fairview farm, he has been involved in many aspects of the business. He was involved with the first South African plantings of varieties like Mourvèdre, Tannat and Petite Sirah, the rediscovery of old vine Grenache and Carignan - currently used in Fairview's range as well as the evolution of the "red blend" - seeing trends shift from Cabernet and Merlot-lead blends to warm climate Shiraz-based Rhone style blends. He is a passionate outdoors person, which makes winemaking the perfect fit for him. He enjoys surfing and is a keen cyclist, spending most weekends on a bike in the mountains around Paarl.

Vibrant light green colour in the glass. Layered aromas of Granny Smith apple, peach and floral notes. Palate is crisp with minerality, stone fruits, citrus flavours and fresh lingering acidity.
