Cartographic Mapping  Cartographic Mapping is a demarcation of the whole country into smaller units referred to as Enumeration Areas (EAs)  An EA has an average of 100 households  The process involves: • Sensitization of National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) 100% • Field cartographic mapping Universal Health Coverage (UHC) • Digitization and EA map production • Verification of the EA maps in the field • Finalization of the maps Jan-23 7

Recruitment and Training of Personnel • Recruitment of field census personnel will commence in June 2019 Personnel Estimated Number Enumerators 135, 000 Content Supervisors 27, 000 ICT Supervisors 2,700 • Other personnel needed are security, village elders, coordinators etc • Training of field census personnel will be carried out in a cascaded manner beginning July 2019 Jan-23 13

Next Steps • Sensitize Kenyans regularly on the importance of the census and their role in the success of the process • Complete the cartographic mapping process by end of March 2019 • Procurement process for materials and equipment on-going • Recruitment of census personnel to commence in June 2019 • Enumeration scheduled for August 2019. The reference night is 24 th / 25 th August 2019 • Enhance publicity and advocacy campaigns through :  Media  Local administrators (Village Elders, Chiefs, ACCs & County Commissioners Jan-23 14
