High-level results on participation in sport and physical activity of 811 adults (aged 16+) resident in DLR during 2015 and 2017. Level of participation relatively higher than other Counties Convenience and access is key Facilities not perceived to be the major barrier to participation Team sports don’t feature as prominently in men and women Variety and diversity of sport should be nurtured Need to understand how the population profile is changing Inequalities in physical activity & health Maintaining participation levels / increasing them Promoting participation throughout the life-course
