National Make Difference Day

Callanan paired up with CCHS to host a charity basketball

  • tournament. The proceeds

supported Catholic Central athletics and Callanan’s annual charity. Benefits Included:

  • Introduced students to our

industry.

  • Helped both a local school

and local not-for-profit

  • Connected with local families

Ride With Mike

Annual fundraiser started three years ago to support Callanan employee, Mike Walsh, who was undergoing treatments for Lymphoma.

2018 Ride:

  • 40 bikes and 20 cars.
  • Raised $12,000
  • Benefitted the Mohawk

Hudson Humane Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Field Trips & School Visits

Recently, Callanan has made great strides in the educational

  • department. Goals and opportunities for students vary

based on age level. Target Audiences:

Local Vo-Tech Program

“A cement truck and an employment offer, as well as some sound advice from graduates. Callanan Industries delivered all three to the Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School (CTE) as representatives from the international company paid a visit to the Diesel Technology program.” –The Saratogian Newspaper

Employees from Callanan’s Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams join together annually to say thank you.

  • Opportunity for Sales and Operations

personnel to interact with customers.

  • Over 1,900 served at nine locations in
  • 2018. Participation grows each year.
  • Eat in or take ‘to-go’ lunches back to

crew members.

  • Surrounding neighbors invited to attend.

Callanan Wildlife Habitat Team

Cordell Road Pollinator Garden

  • Certified as a Wildlife Habitat

Council managed habitat site since 2007.

  • Managed by the Callanan Wildlife

Habitat Team.

  • Team completes a rigorous

recertification process every two to three years.

  • Garden provides a food source,

shelter, and resting area to our local pollinators.

  • Used as a learning tool for our

employees & visitors

NAPA’s Community Involvement Award

NAPA’s Community Involvement Award recognizes outstanding programs in the arena of community relations.
