Saudi Arabia signed the WADA Code based on Royal Decree No. 205 dated 22nd September 2003 Saudi Arabia signed UNESCO Convention based on Royal decree No. 305 dated 3rd December 2007
SAADC was established in 2004 and charged with the responsibilities of implementing the national anti-doping program and all anti-doping related matters The WADA approved Saudi Anti-Doping Rules in Sport
SAADC was reformed by president of The Saudi General Presidency of Youth Welfare 24/03/2013. The WADA approved the new Saudi Anti-Doping code in Sport which was issued in 2015.

The most prevalent prohibited substances were anabolic steroids (57 of 164 AAFs [34.7%]) Then stimulants (39 of 164 AAFs [23.7 %]). Among all substances, the most frequently detected compound was amphetamine (33 of 164 AAFs [20%]) Then tetrahydrocannabinol (24 of 164 AAFs [14.6%]).
Most AAFs for anabolic steroids were for boldenone, 19-norandrosterone, and stanozolol. Most stimulants detected were amphetamines.
A peak of positive results was observed in 2012, with 32 positive samples (6.6%) and 65 AAFs. The highest prevalence of AAFs was observed in bodybuilders (22 positive of 32 tests [69%]), Then track and field players, then football players.

2867 urine samples tested 120 positive samples and 164 AAFs The most prevalent prohibited substances were anabolic steroids (34.7%) then stimulants (23.7%). The most frequently compounds were amphetamine (20%) then tetrahydrocannabinol (14.6%).
