PROGRESS:

Hazelwood Elementary – Shingles partially removed and new ice and water shield membrane partially installed at roof, sealer applied to exterior brick walls, wheel chair ramp to stage partially constructed , interior demolition complete and wall framing underway at Health and Special Education classroom restrooms. Rainier Middle School – Shingles removed and new ice and water shield installed at roof, foundation built at storage room addition, interior demolition completed at Library and handicap restrooms, and wall framing started at handicap restrooms. PERCENT COMPLETE: 30%

PROGRESS:

Contractor has begun assessment of existing conditions and initial demolition work. Additional deterioration of wood beams was discovered when contractor removed metal flashing that covered the beams. The structural engineer is working on design modifications to correct the additional deterioration.
