Mobile phone etiquette

Mobile phones in the workplace are similar to mobile phones in

  • school. There is a correct time and

place for them! Most companies do not allow their use during working time but may permit their use during breaks and lunchtimes. Please ensure that you ask what the rules are and do not use them to take photographs for your diary record without asking first.

Teacher visit

  • During your placement you will receive a teacher visit.

Some placements are not practical to visit as they may be too far away or you may be at different locations during the week. If this is the case you will have a phone call instead of a visit.

  • It is your responsibility to contact the teacher who is

visiting you to arrange a date and a time and to let your placement know when your teacher will be visiting

  • In some cases it may be necessary to change the

teacher visiting you, we will let you know if this happens

  • The list will be displayed in the exam case in A block
  • soon. We will email your mentors when it is ready.

Remember

  • These employers have kindly agreed to help you

and they and the school will expect good standards of behaviour

  • Manners cost nothing!
  • 4000 students are on work experience in

Derbyshire this month. We need these employers to help us next year too.

  • Show an interest
  • You will be tired, that is normal and school

will seem a short day afterwards!

  • Most of all enjoy it!
