How do we get our Title I Funds?
How do we get our Title I Funds?
Our Title I status allows us to purchase two additional teachers, a parent liaison, and materials for your students to use in class. The amount of money we are allocated for our Title I program depends on the number of lunch forms turned in and approved. On average, we get $500 per child for each lunch form completed and approved. Even if your child doesn’t plan to eat school breakfast and lunch regularly, completing the form can help our school with extra staff and materials we need to provide the best education possible for your children. We are asking for every parent to complete a form, either
- nline or a paper form, so we can continue receiving these extra funds.

Growth Mindset
Effortless Perfection is what students want. We have to change their mindset to WANT to struggle, be challenged and make mistakes and realize that is the best part of learning!
Woodland Wildcat PRIDE/PBIS
When I walk through the doors of Woodland each day, I strive to Persevere in every way. I will Respect myself, all people and things, Showing Integrity when no one is looking. Being Disciplined is how I will accomplish what’s needed, and with Empathy is how all Wildcats will be treated. Dojo is set up with the behavior expectations Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and
- Empathy. All behaviors displayed are reinforced
using this terminology. Example: On Task = Discipline. Silence in the hall = Respect. Students will not receive negative points, but can be assigned undesirable behaviors a neutral (0) point value in order to communicate with parents. Thank you for supporting PRIDE/PBIS at Woodland!
Parent and Family Engagement
The purpose of Parent and Family Engagement under Title I, Part A is to promote active engagement among local educational agencies (LEA) administrators, school staff, parents, parent advocacy organizations, parental involvement liaisons, community leaders, and others working to improve student achievement and academic
- success. Family Engagement is defined as the
participation of parents in regular two-way and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities:
- Parents play an integral role in assisting their child’s learning.
- Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s
education at school.
- Parents are full partners in their child’s education and are
included, as appropriate, in decision making as well as being a part of the advisory committees to assist in the education of their child.
- Parents carry out other activities as described in section 1116
- f the ESSA
- Parent Liaisons are assigned to Fulton County’s Title I
- schools. Parent Liaisons serve as a link between the schools
and parents, relay the needs of one to the other; educate teachers and staff on how to communicate and work effectively with parents as equal partners.
