PATH TO REOPENING 1. Wilson Area School District’s Health and Safety Plan outlines our School District's instructional and non-instructional school reopening activities for the 2020-2021 school year. 2. The District will seek approval of the plan on Thursday, August 20, 2020. 3. Anticipated launch date for in-person learning is Monday, August 31, 2020. 4. The Wilson Area School District original plan was to reopen for all students and staff, with some students/families opting for full-time online learning out of safety/health concerns. 5. On Monday, August 10, 2020, the Departments of Health and Education provided recommendations to Pre-K to 12 schools for use when making decisions related to the instructional models used during the 2020-21 school year. 6. Following the health experts’ recommendations, the plan was changed to reopen following a hybrid model for in-person learning and full-time online learning for students/families with safety/health concerns.
