  4. In the Beginning… 1990s – Fort Benning partners with The Nature Conservancy 2006 – Army Compatible Use Buffer (ACUB) program at Fort Benning 2010 – ACUB Biennial Review Recommendation (Army Environmental Command) 2011 – Chattahoochee Fall Line Conservation Partnership (CFLCP) formed

CFLCP Accomplishments Land Protection 27,000 ac in ACUB area under permanent conservation protection Stewardship Activities • Prescribed fire: >37,000 acres burned • Longleaf pine planted: >3,200 acres • Invasive species/sand pine removal: 1,200 acres • Ecological timber harvest: 1,200 acres • Ecological monitoring plots: >250 established
