  1. What is BRIDGE? BRIDGE is a global network of individuals and organisations working to advance women’s rights, dignity and empowerment in development. We advocate for the crucial importance of a gender perspective in efforts to reduce poverty and promote social justice. BRIDGE acts as a catalyst by creating spaces where gender knowledge and experience are shared, the voiceless are heard, and learning and dialogue takes place. This enables the generation and exchange of relevant, accessible and diverse information to bring about transformation in attitudes and to inspire change in development policy and practice. Our approach is collaborative, democratic and innovative. We are respectful of diversity and responsive to the needs of our audiences. We are committed to communicating complex ideas in an accessible way, and to providing open access to our products. We are driven by an awareness and analysis of power dynamics and the belief that we can make a difference.

  2. BRIDGE A globally known gender and development programme with its secretariat based at IDS Aims to inform and help shape effective gender mainstreaming policy and practice that makes a difference for gender equality and women’s rights by.. Facilitating global collaborative processes for exchanging knowledge, experiences and good practices, and identifying shared agendas Articulating these agendas through peer reviewed, evidence and case study-based accessible outputs
