AVID is an elective class where students are taught strategies to increase their success in all of their classes. The AVID elective fulfills the G requirement in the CSU/UC A-G entrance requirements.

Students come prepared with a higher level question about academic content. They work collaboratively within a small group and with a tutor to address each other’s questions and provide academic support.
