  4. Warfield Parish Council Highlights of 2017/18 ▪ Replaced the play area surface at Memorial Ground ▪ Replaced the car park surface at Frost Folly ▪ Replaced heaters at Brownlow Hall ▪ Successful Arts Week and Summer of Fun event ▪ After school Sports Club ▪ Warfield Christmas Tree

Warfield Parish Council Financial Report ▪ 2017/18 income - £250,185 ▪ 61% came from levied precept 22% hall lettings 17% other sources ▪ No Community Infrastructure Levy contributions received – collected on our behalf by Bracknell Forest Council ▪ 2017/18 expenditure - £265,290 ▪ Final accounts will be submitted for external audit by PKF Littlejohn in June.

Warfield Parish Council Financial Report ▪ Our 2018/19 precept is £179,556 ▪ Cost per band D council tax household is £37.40 per annum ▪ 2018/19 expenditure is £261,060 ▪ 2018/19 precept increase 5.0% (£1.79 per annum) ▪ Using reserves and CIL to meet income/expenditure difference ▪ Precept remains lowest in Bracknell Forest area

  9. Warfield Parish Council Planning ▪ Role of planning committee – statutory consultee, we can comment and make observations/requests ▪ LPA obliged to have regard to ‘proper’ comments made ▪ Planning responses made by the parish council – 174 ▪ Continue to object to inappropriate development in the Green Belt ▪ Recognise we are up against provision of land supply, Permitted development rights and pre-application advice.

Warfield Parish Council Planning ▪ Area 2 (Berkeley) works continues senior living / extra care homes and apartments nearing completion ▪ The opening of ‘The Greenway’ ▪ Sopwith Road will link to Forest Road in Summer 2018. ▪ Area 1 – land east of Newell Green is approved masterplan work continues on other sites ▪ Area 3 – no progress ▪ SANG (suitable alternative natural greenspace) proving popular ▪ Cabbage Hill SANG proving to be very popular ▪ Frost Folly/Wellers Lane SANG – expected to open July 2018

Warfield Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan/Local Plan Neighbourhood Plan ▪ Now been completed and being presented to the parish council for approval ahead of submission ▪ Does include proposals for development ▪ Will go to BFC for further consultation, independent inspection and finally local referendum. Local Plan ▪ BFC draft plan consultation recently closed. Parish commented – can be found on our website.

Warfield Parish Council The Future ▪ Continue to deliver venues people want to use ▪ New canopy and outdoor improvements at Whitegrove ▪ Installing Defibrillators ▪ Wi-Fi for users ▪ Looking at asset transfers from Bracknell Forest – play areas and open spaces - local spaces under local management

  14. Warfield Parish Council New Community Hub ▪ Early days ▪ Site identified in SLA – Priory Field ▪ Partnership between BFC and WPC ▪ Funded by developer contributions ▪ Wish list and area enhancements ▪ More details to follow
