renamed as Kingston School of Art. In doing this, the School was reclaiming a 140 year-old heritage and identity. Kingston is one of the oldest validated Schools of Architecture in the UK.

CAMPUS REFURBISHMENT

In 2019 Architecture and Landscape will move into new purpose-designed studios as part of a £30 million campus refurbishment designed by Stirling Prize winning architects Haworth Tompkins. Situated on the top two floors the Department will have a double height atrium for collective events such as lectures, symposia and exhibitions.

We believe that students learn most about ideas, materials and techniques by being experimental practitioners. Our workshops are equipped to facilitate work in a full range of analogue and digital media from timber to bronze.
