We have a small Choir every Thursday after lunch. In choir we do songs about the time of the year and get ready for Christmas and Easter. At the Easter service our choir sings songs that are appropriate for that time. In Hawkshead school choir we have an age range from Year Two up to Year Six. We occasionally go into shops in Hawkshead and sing to people in the shop and the people who work there…….
In Hawkshead school choir we do not just stand and sing we do actions to songs!!
We had a Red Nose day this year. We also had a talent show. Each year we have a Pudsey Bear Day to raise money for Children in Need. We did a sponsored walk for a boy at our school who has cancer.
The whole school work together on different activities on International Day and Olympics day ….. On apple day we made cider by pressing the apples in the presser. On Eco day we used willow to weave stars, fish and birds.
Lessons are interactive. We help each other by talking and sharing ideas with each other……..

We work together, use the computers, do drama, sing songs and have lessons out side which helps us learn…
In our maths lessons we have to figure out the answer, by learning our times tables.
Every year we go to church to celebrate Harvest and Easter. At Christmas we put together a production with the whole school , then after that we have Christmas
singing carols...
The first Wednesday
O.A.P’s come for lunch at the school.
The Rose Queen Gala is when the children parade round the village and the Queen is
for all the village to enjoy..
Last year we worked with local businesses to put on a fashion show.
The dance club made up a dance and performed it in a show called Fantasia which was held at the local secondary school!
We also are a green Eco school , we help other countries with money and charities .We grow
house and in our garden! We have a green flag too!! School has solar panels on the
cook it fresh.
We have special
awards for : Green Flag Eco school, Active PE, and Healthy schools.
We have just earned our Silver Award for Geography and our International Award for the second time because we have done lots of Geography about things like Australia, Citizenship and Africa.
The Gold Arts mark award was given because we do lots of drama, music, dance and Art!!
In our garden we grow many types of fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, marrows, potatoes, apples, lettuce and they are very tasty.
Now we’ve picked all our fruit and veg we can get cooking and make some delicious meals . The “Lets get Cooking “project was the best!!!
In our clubs we do lots of sports and
have an Art club which is where you have a project, and you do art , animation or sewing .
In our clubs everybody is always included
