WELCOME! BIENVENIDOS!

We live in a modern world and we want students to be prepared to be productive citizens in this world. In this class we will build and strengthen critical thinking skills; we will work on effectively communicating what we know, how we know it, and what we need some help to know. We will collaborate and grow together; we will be creative in our thinking and sharing of our learning; and have fun in the process!

Expectations: 1.Students will be excellent to each other (we will be together the whole year, we will be a community, and isn’t easier to be nice to each other?)! 2.Students will ask questions (questions are so important)! 3.Students will make mistakes (mistakes help us learn)! 4.Students will take risks (see above – mistakes help us learn)! 5.Students will work together and alone. 6.Students will make connections (to other math, to yourself, to the world). 7.Students will be precise (take your time, show your thinking, and share your knowledge).
