• Start – to warm up to get our fingers working, and

us playing together

LAST WEEK’S SESSION AND THE U3A

• We enjoyed it
• We made some noise!
• Strummed and sang out and it sounded good
• Feedback from U3A – very positive
• Most of them have been playing 2 years or less
• We learned a lot

WHAT WE LEARNED (1)

• Holding the ukulele
• It’s not a zither!
• Hold the neck high
• Strumming – all fingers and thumbs!
• We need a John
• Starting, keeping the rhythm and ending

WHAT WE LEARNED (2)

• U3A Set a target for us
• To be able to have a night of playing & singing
• At meetings play and sing as much as we can
• Develop our own repertoire of songs
• Concentrating on C Am F G7 for now
• Add more chords and songs later
• Not too much to take in - KISS

• Practice your chords
• Practice the songs in the song book
