Renewable Energy Missions

  • Proposed DOE Solar Power Demonstration Project

– Establish infrastructure to support test and evaluation of cutting edge but not yet commercial CSP and CSV technologies – Cost sharing opportunity with DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy with up to $50m requested for FY2011 – Located at the southwest corner of the NNSS – Approximately 300 acres – Duration of projects up to 10 years – Project decommission and remediation required
