Commercially Useful Function (CUF)

work involved.

  • Is not further subcontracting a portion of the work that is greater than that

expected to be subcontracted by normal industry practices.

Calculating Participation Values

  • SBE Trade Subcontractor

– Work performed or services provided by the SBE’s own work forces, including the cost of the materials and supplies – 100% – Work performed or services provided by the SBE’s own forces, including the cost of materials and supplies obtained for work, except for materials and supplies purchased or leased from Prime. If work has been subcontracted to another SBE, it will be counted as SBE participation by that other SBE.

  • SBE Materials Supplier

– Count 60% of the costs of the materials and supplies obtained from a SBE materials supplier. .
