TOUTORO
The new continent

Introduction
- Our class, 5/6 Clark and Cato would like to present to you our new continent. It is called Toutoro.
- After the 4 weeks learning from home during Term 2, this project was designed for us to work and collaborate together
again back at school, while having a lot of creative fun.
- Each country nominated a member to join the United Nations. To come together and make decisions that affected us all,
for example coming up with the name of our continent – Toutoro.
- Our continent is made up of 12 countries. Each country had some geographical features that could not be moved and
- ften went across the borders, for example oceans, seas, mountain ranges, rainforests, deserts, rivers and lakes. We
then had to negotiate with our neighbouring countries to name them.
- We then created our own unique country. We thought about climate, and its position to the Equator. We could choose
from many options, for example creating the history, its national fauna, and designing its currency.
- We would now like to show you how this continent comes together, just like we did as a class.
