DEUSS Date

The DEUSS date (Date Entered a United States School) for ELLs from Puerto Rico will be the first day of school in any of the 50 states or District

  • f Columbia. If a

student already has a DEUSS, this date is not changed.

Immigrant Status

Additionally, students from Puerto Rico are not immigrants, so districts will report “N” for immigrant status.

ELL entry date

The ELL entry date will be the date they are entered into your (or Florida) ESOL program and weighted FTE 130 can be claimed.
