Toledo, placed in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, the land of Quixote, is an incomparable setting to study Spanish. Toledo, with its exceptional monumental places,
to the international students a safe environment not crowded of foreign students, where they can learn an excellent Spanish. The academic excellence of our university, the incessant cultural life and the many
kind people surrounding, are some other values added to Toledo. Excellent connected by bus and high speed train to Madrid, it is possible to reach the heart of Spain’s capital in less than 30 minutes. World Heritage City, it is also known as the City of Three Cultures because of the historical coexistence of Christians, Jews and Muslims inside its walls. The University of Castilla-La Mancha – also known as UCLM – is a public and regional institution that holds the recognition as Campus of International Excellence and offers its Spanish courses for foreigners in Toledo through ESTO Program, which is an Accredited Center by the Instituto Cervantes. The UCLM gives to the international students of Spanish the possibility of studying inside historical buildings adapted for a modern and functional use with excellent facilities and services. UCLM counts on qualified and experienced faculty, as well as highly motivated, that meets both the specific and personal needs of each student. THIS YEAR, ... TOLEDO, NO MATTER WHAT. Our city celebrates recently its 30 anniversary as World Heritage City, and due to its concentration of monuments, it is holder of the second biggest historic quarter worldwide; the first one being in Rome. In 2019, even more events will be added to its already wide cultural and leisure offer.

CULTURAL PROGRAM in TOLEDO
The Intensive Summer Courses include 9 non-university activities which are linked to the city of Toledo and have a high cultural impact over the students. It supports the students regarding their academic activity. Those activities are guided by a teacher and/or people of ESTO.

RESIDENCE ACCOMODATION
The university residences used by ESTO Program for this course are all situated within the Old Town of Toledo.

OPTIONAL.- ACCOMODATION
FAMILIES ACCOMODATION
The family option benefits the linguistic and cultural immersion of the student, as he continues his learning process in the family’s home. The student accesses a friendly and close idiomatic practice with families that are carefully selected by the ESTO Program. The student who chooses this option has to fill in a questionnaire expressing his tastes and preferences. The ESTO program will try to select the family who best fits your preferences. The price is 1155 €, including accommodation from Monday to Sunday and three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The arrival to the family’s house is on Sunday, 30th of June and the departure on Saturday, 27th of July. All of them meet the comfort needs, services, proximity to shops and provide with the suitable environment for study and for the relation and communal living with the international and Spanish students. The target price is 700 € for the 4 weeks of the course, including accommodation in a double room from Monday to Sunday and three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) from Monday to Friday. Each room has bathroom, working desk and some of them count on air conditioning. And the residence also offers a gym, a meeting room, a study room, TV, WIFI, among other services.

OPTIONAL.- EXCURSIONS
EXCURSION TO VALSAÍN (SEGOVIA)
This excursion is a time travel across the rute of the royal fisheries, funded by Spain`s King Carlos III. An interpretive and guided hiking route that takes us to the village of Valsaín by a shady and cool path that runs through the interior of a forest. Besides, by doing geocaching we are going to have fun searching for treasures and we are also going to enjoy the river´s fresh waters. The bus services, the tour guide, the geocaching activity and the lunch are included in the price.
EXCURSION TO CANDELEDA (ÁVILA)
This excursion is meant to share a relaxing day and coexistence in a region of scenic interest of the Tiétar Valley (Sierra de Gredos), first visit enjoying the spectacular Cuevas del Águila (Eagle Caves) which have more than 3 million years. It continues towards the natural swimming pools of the locality of Candeleda (Ávila) where they can enjoy a relaxing bath in the heart of the nature. The bus services, the tour guide, the tickets to the caves, the swimming pool and the lunch are included. Both excursions are full-time and take place on Saturday The price for both journeys is 185 €.
TWO SATURDAYS PLANNED TO ENJOY OUR NATURAL HERITAGE
In the evening, we are going to have an agreeable time resting and swimming and there is also the option of realizing an introductory activity to canoeing.
