MANAGING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS AND AND HOW REVENUE TRANSPARENCY WORKS KNKAI is a recipient of a social development funds amounting to P306,000.00, but this were provided in a form of : 1. Livelihood development trainings: ( enterprise development training, on food safety awareness, food and meat processing training, product costing and marketing, recordkeeping and bookkeeping) (P41,000.00) 2. Economic Development Support Grant ( provision of Processing equipment (P265,000.00) 3. Technical Assistance on Organizational Development & Management
BENEFITS OBTAINED BY THE WOMEN MEMBERS FROM THE SDMP ASSISTANCE • PROVIDED DIRECT INCOME TO WORKING WOMEN : P 5 per pack during production (processing) Directly employed 8- 12 members are involve in processing on rotation basis) P 3 per pack during marketing commission (all members are required to market their products) • Gross sales : P 341.745.00 • Net savings for 7 months = P33,851.00 (May – Nov 2017) ( Note: Net savings is on top of direct labor & sales commission)
Transparency policy • During regular membership meeting, financial report is presented by the treasurer • Members are also investing in a form of capital build up • Membership due is also collected • Savings from the business operation will be distributed to the members net of reserves retained capital for CBU • Proper bookkeeping and reporting is also practiced
