Formed in 2008 and being itself an individualized pole and at the same time the pivotal point

The main and largest school, Escola Básica e Secundária Anselmo de Andrade, formed in 1971, offers a diversity of courses, basic and secondary grade. Portugal has 12 years of compulsory education:

• Basic Education – 9 years divided in:

Primary education (4 years) Basic 2nd and 3th education (5 years)

• Secondary Education – 3 years

In this school we have classes from the 5th to the 12th grade A total of 1030 students

We offer the normal secondary courses:

• Sciences and Technologies
• Economic Sciences
• Languages and Humanities
• Arts
• Professional courses like ICT

Our students learn English, French or Spanish, and Mandarin, optional at secondary grade, as a second foreign language.
