The future of ubiquitous technology enabling decentralized solutions to old problems is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed. Let’s change that; together . We want to help lead a renaissance of community-based learning by leveraging the rich landscape of available technology and our deep instincts to seek meaningful community experiences. Deep Community – those communities for which skin skin-in in-the- gam game is is a feature, no not a bug ug – is the best platform to combine the pull of our social instincts and the power of well wielded technology to create valuable learning environments, full of new possibilities, new frontiers. We want to start by empowering people. We want to give power to professors, to you. Many of our learning institutions are faltering under the weight of their outmoded models and the “Is - Ought” Divergence is becoming too much to bear; it’s time to change that; it’s time to pressure their reformation by demonstrating, in stark terms , the power and optionality that already exists, today ; it’s time to show them, the institutions, the true and imposing profile of the post- loom existential threat and issue notice: “ Dear Learning Institutions, all: We roundly reject your current instantiation. Adapt or dissolve into future history. “ We want to help connect great professors with a community of people who will find that connection not just valuable, but meaningful. In 2018, alumni in the US contributed over $12 billion to their alma maters 1 . How much of that annual expression of gratitude would be directed towards the cherished professors of those generous alumni, were there channels for such an expression? You’ve got questions, we got answers.* (*Some of them, for sure. And, if we don’t, we’re confident we can find them, together .)
