Oversize Loads – What do we do?

When a transport vehicle has an over-dimensional load that will exceed 5.3 metres [17’4”] in height , or 7.32 metres [24’] in width a Coordinated OD Move Permit must be obtained prior to the load being moved. The City of Calgary coordinates these moves with their service partners to monitor and/or adjust utility and communication lines, adjust traffic control signs and signals, and manage traffic control to ensure the safe passage of these transport vehicles.
