They didn’t have beds either so they had to use hammocks for a bed and they didn’t have any rooms. They usually had a little pot over a fire in the middle of the room where they would catch their food and heat it over the fire. Most Mayan houses are found in Mexico where you can go and visit them.

If they are lucky some mayans pay to have a chef to cook for them so they can have their own time instead of making the food themselves. Ancient maya cuisine was varied and exstensive. Mayan ball is a rubber ball, and you have to use you’re elbows, shoulders or hips, the aim of the game is to get the dangerous rubber ball into the hoop before the other team. The rubber ball was very hard and very heavy, so if someone hit the ball at say 10 miles per hour the person who tried to catch would probably break their bones or even worse. This game was so bad because in the 16th century they had to ban Mayan ball because to many people were getting badly injured or even lay underneath a big mossy stone that will probably have old flowers that have gone rotten.

  6. What equipment did they use? The ancient mayans used a rubber ball made out of trees called the rubber tree. The ball was super hard so if you got hit by one that came shooting in the air you’re in for it cause these balls are very strong. The mayans wear protected pads so that when they try to steal the ball of the other team it wouldn’t hurt so much as it would without the protected pads.

The mayans would pray to the gods and say religious prayers and then they would start the very tiring ball game and with look they would win . The mayans would pray to the gods and beg him to be on their side so that they could finally get their revenge on the other team and then laugh at the look at their miserable faces.

  8. What were the courts like, and where were they? The Mayan ball courts were very big. They were about the size of a football ground. The ball court was in the shape of an I so it would be long enough for the mayans to move around and try to hit the ball with their elbows, shoulder or hip. You can find many of these ball games around the world but the most common place to find a Mayan ball court is Mexico. Mexico was very famous for Mayan ball because even though it’s dangerous, they still play it because it will make them stronger

The mayans used to hold their hands and feet and then one of the mayans will rip the victims heart out and o ff er it to the gods. In Mayan ball the losers were tied to a wall and tortured by the mayans. They used to chop their arms and legs o ff and then kill them.

  10. Mayan mask Mayan masks were used for many di ff erent traditions. When the mayans die their family would place a mask onto their dead face. Some of the Mayan masks were used when they went into war. They did this so that the enemies might think that they are fierce, strong and prepared for any challenge.
