What do they do?
Mitch and his team organise community events and fundraisers, speak to groups, workplaces, clubs and schools and help promote the SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY message. Mitch shares his personal story and talks about the impact suicide has on families and the community. SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY delivers messages of hope and recovery, and shares where to find help and how we can help each other in tough
- times. The team work across Tasmania to
spread the message that it’s ok not to be ok, and encouraging people to seek help when they need it.
Who supports SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY?
SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY have partnered with Relationships Australia Tasmania to provide a foundation for their important work to continue and grow. The organisation is sponsored and supported by generous donations from business and community organisations of all sorts, who fundraise, provide pro bono professional services, and spread the message in the
- community. Numerous sporting identities support
the work of SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY, including AFL players Jack Riewoldt from Richmond Football Club, Jeremy Howe from Melbourne Football Club and cricketer Matt Wade.
