IIITM-K(Indian Institution of Information Technology and Management-Kerala) Estd. in 2000 by Govt. of Kerala, India has taken several initiatives in adopting Technology Enhanced learning (TEL) to improve overall quality of higher education both at regional and national level. The institute provides a pedagogically effective learning ambience through extensive educational technology support and Web enhanced education to its postgraduate students, faculty, research staff, and the participants in its training programmes.

Digital Library and classroom lectures

IIITM-K Digital Library: The digital library houses a galaxy of compressed video lectures (1000 hours) from eminent faculties and industry experts on information technology and related areas. Classroom lectures, seminars, invited lectures of the Institute are digitized into required compressed formats, synchronized with presentation slides and made available through the online multimedia library using advanced SMIL - Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (W3C) and streaming technologies.

Remote interactive classroom management

IIITM-K has established an Interactive classroom over the broadband terrestrial link of Railtel with Nagaland University (dist.3800 kms), students from Nagaland University participate in courses, seminars and workshops held in IIITM-K. This link is now being extended to include other major institutions to share resources.
