Some students take the school bus to the school. There are two major considerations:

• 1. Onboard time attendance. School and parents will get notification once student is lost on their way to the school.
• 2. School Bus security. Guards sitting in the surveillance center can get remote live view of the school bus and supervise

Some students do not take the school bus, they walk through the school gate.

• 1. Time attendance. When students pass through the gate, their faces will be recognized and used as time attendance.

and take action immediately.

Students walk out of the classroom during the break time (or go for outdoor activities). The system will detect the people density in staircases. If the density is higher than threshold, notification will be pushed to the guards.

Lunch Time

Installs cameras in school kitchen for monitoring kitchen sanitary condition. Displays the live view in the canteen for public supervision. Deploys face capture cameras at entrance and exit, and provides real-time alarm of non-authenticated person and suspect.

Stranger Warning

Most students have their lunch in school’s canteen. Thus, food security becomes the top priority. The system focuses on two major parts to ensure the food security:

1. Sanitary supervision. Everything and every actions in school kitchen will be displayed in the canteen’s public screen. 2. Kitchen staff management. In order to avoid non-authenticated people intrusion, system will automatically trigger alarm when stranger is detected.

Outdoor Activities

It is time for outdoor activities. Students go out of the classroom and play. The system offers the guards ability to supervise on school status:

• 1. Emergency handling. In case of emergency, like fighting or injury, people can contact with guard center via alarm station.

Guards will receive alarm and remotely check the situation. If necessary, they can send people to help.

• 2. Campus monitoring. Guards can check every corner via CCTV system to assure the campus security and students’ security.

Alarm stations are deployed in school, in emergency case, people press the alarm button to call for help. Guards receive alarm and check the video. If help is needed, they can take action immediately. HD cameras are deployed in school and connected to the surveillance center. In activities time, guards can check every corner via HD cameras.

Some students stay in dormitory. The system helps to build a safety dormitory environment, and at the same time to record students attendance:

Any intrusion at perimeter is considered as dangerous behavior for the school. Thus, to perceive intrusion and to take actions become the top priority for the guards. However, some perimeters are short, simple and without many obstacles, while some perimeters are long, complicated and full of obstacles like leaves and trees. The perimeter protection system can detect intrusion in both cases.

Guards receive alarm and double check the video. If someone intruded, they can take actions immediately.

Vehicle Management

Vehicles pass through school gate and stay in the school every day. An effective management of vehicles is the core demand of the school security system.

1. Vehicle Entrance & Exit management: Registered vehicles are allowed to enter directly; unregistered vehicles need to confirm with the guards before open the barrier for them; vehicles in blacklist will be denied and trigger alarm immediately. 2. Control Room

Since dozens of cameras and security systems are deployed in the school, a centralized control center is required for the guards to manage the school security. In the meantime, system need to provide some strategies to help guards monitor so many cameras and do not miss any important events.

In the control room, a TV wall with multiple screens is

• deployed. Guards can monitor school live status via the TV

wall directly. Sometimes, there are too many cameras in the school, if displays all of them at once, it becomes extremely difficult for the guards to monitor. Thus, TV wall will auto-switch display the key area cameras. Perimeter intrusion is potential risk for the guards. The screen will automatically pop-up the perimeter video when intrusion happens.
