LAUNCH OF ROSE

  • The Roster of Statistics Experts (ROSE) serves for hosting the profiles of professionals

that work in the official statistics sector or in other sectors that deliver services contributing to the efforts of the agencies with an embedded statistical role.

  • By establishing a pool of relevant expertise, the ROSE is expected to be instrumental in

identifying the available professionals either in relevant domains of official statistics.

  • ROSE will contribute significantly to useful exchange of information and experiences

within the Islamic World through enabling the flow of communication between the professionals and the relevant stakeholders.

PROSPECTS

SESRIC will increase the type and number of statistial training activites in 2016 if sufficient number of OIC member countries volunteer to activitely contribute as providers To extend the range of outreach to the member countries: a) There is a need to organize Training of Trainers (Workshop) at different regional levels. b) E-learning platform can be developed and/or possible cooperation with UN can be initiated in this regard. The Roster of Experts is revitalised and updated in order to reach available experts in the needed subjects.
