Day 1 & 2- 11th -12th April 2018: Sydney to Heidelberg

• Meet at Sydney International

Airport

• Board your flight from Sydney

to Frankfurt

• Upon arrival in Frankfurt, a

coach will transfer you to your accommodation in Heidelberg.

• This afternoon explore

Heidelberg with your teachers

• Dinner will be included this

evening

Day 3- Friday 13th April 2018: Heidelberg

• This morning after breakfast, meet your guide and enjoy a walking tour of

‘Aldstadt’, Old Town.

• This afternoon, visit the Heidelberg Castle
• The rest of the day will be free to explore the city with your teachers
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 4- Saturday 14th April 2018: Heidelberg to Freiburg

• Travel by coach to Baden Baden, where you will have some free time to walk

around the Old Town

• This afternoon, your coach will take you to Freiburg
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 5- Sunday 15th April 2018: Freiburg

• Spend the day at Europa-Park, the largest theme park in Germany
• Transport to and from the theme park will be with your coach
• Dinner is included this evening

Day 6- Monday 16th April 2018: Freiburg to Lyon

• Coach from Freiburg to Mulhouse
• At Mulhouse, board a train to Lyon
• Upon arrival in Lyon, walk to your nearby accommodation
• Free afternoon to explore Lyon with your teachers
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 7- Tuesday 17th April 2018: Lyon to Montpellier

• This morning spend some time exploring Lyon with your teachers
• This afternoon take the train from Lyon to Montpellier
• Walk to your accommodation and then spend some time exploring the city

with your teachers

• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 8- Wednesday 18th April 2018: Montpellier

• This morning enjoy a guided walking tour of Montpellier
• Visit Musee Fabre, which houses one of France’s richest collections of

European Art

• Free afternoon to explore Montpellier with your teachers
• Dinner included this evening

Day 9- Thursday 19th April 2018: Montpellier

• Meet your coach for a day of sightseeing
• Stop in Nimes
• Visit Pont du Gard
• Visit Arles, where you will enjoy a walking tour, focussing on Van Gogh and the

major works that came from his time living here

• Return to Montpellier by coach
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 10- Friday 20th April 2018: Montpellier to Nice

• This morning board your coach
• Visit Cannes, home of the famous Film Festival
• Free time to explore Cannes
• Reboard your coach and travel to your accommodation in Nice
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 11- Saturday 21st April 2018: Nice

• Take the train to the Principality of Monaco
• This afternoon, take the train back to Nice and spend some time exploring the

city

• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 12- Sunday 22nd April 2018: Nice to Paris

• Coach transfer to Nice train station
• Board your train from Nice to Paris
• Upon arrival in Paris, a coach will transfer you to your accommodation
• Free time to explore the city with your teachers
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 13- Monday 23rd April 2018: Paris

• This morning visit the Pompidou Centre
• Entrance to the Louvre this afternoon
• Late this afternoon, enjoy a cruise on the River Seine
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 14- Tuesday 24th April 2018: Paris

• Full day guided coach tour of the Loire Valley
• Visit Chateau Chenonceau. Chateau Clos Lucé and Chateau Amboise
• Return to Paris by coach
• Dinner included this evening

Day 15- Wednesday 25th April 2018: Paris

• Free day to explore Paris with your teachers
• A metro pass has been included
• Dinner is included this evening

Day 16- Thursday 26th April 2018: Paris

• Use the RER to travel to Versailles
• Enjoy an audio guided tour of the Palace
• Explore the immaculate gardens
• Return to Paris by the RER
• Free time to explore Paris
• Dinner will be included this evening

Day 17- Thursday 27th April 2018: Paris

• Free day to explore Paris with your teachers
• A metro pass has been included
• Dinner is included this evening

Day 18- Saturday 28th April 2018: Paris to Sydney

• Coach transfer to Paris Airport
• Board your flight towards Sydney

Day 19- Sunday 29th April 2018: Arrive in Sydney

• 8:00pm: Arrive at Sydney International Airport

Baggage and Packing

• Maximum check-in luggage weight is 20 kilograms
• Maximum carry-on luggage weight is 7 kilograms
• There are restrictions to the carry on of liquids, sharps and flammable items
• Packing list included in Ticket Wallet- use as a guide only

Passport Information

• Each passenger must have a valid passport
• Your passport must not expire within 6 months of the date of return
• A photocopy of the details page of each passenger’s passport is required
• If you are travelling on anything other than an Australian passport, advise the

school immediately

Staying in Touch with home

Global roaming is expensive! You’re best to put your phone on aeroplane mode before you leave Australia and keep it on aeroplane mode until you arrive back in Australia Wi-Fi is available at the hotel free of charge and is the best way to keep in touch

Spending Money

The local currency is the Euro You will need to take enough spending money to cover meals and snacks that aren’t already covered in the itinerary, some entry fees, along with personal expenses You will be best to take money in a couple of different forms- some cash and some on a card, such as a ‘cash passport’ If you are using your normal bank card, let your bank know where you will be travelling (including stopover in Bangkok)

Vaccinations, Medical Conditions and Dietary Requirements

Visit your G.P and discuss your travel plans to see if any vaccinations are needed Please advise the school immediately of any existing medical conditions, allergies and dietary requirements
