GleanKY gathers and redistributes excess fresh fruits and vegetables to nourish Kentucky’s hungry.
Food security is the basis of sustained economic growth. Infill has the potential to improve public health
Food is the glue that holds our lives together. When we have access to heathy food, we make healthy choices and build healthy communities.
Redistribution & Redevelopment
Kentuckians don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
* Feeding America’s Map the Meal GapWhy here?
Food insecurity refers to a lack of access to enough food for an active, healthy life and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods. Food-insecure households are not necessarily food insecure all the time. Food insecurity may reflect a household’s need to make trade-offs between important basic needs, such as housing or medical bills, and purchasing nutritionally adequate foods. Food insecurity exists in every county and congressional district in the country. But not everyone struggling with hunger qualifies for federal nutrition assistance.

Ambassadors
I N C L U S I V E N E S S A C C E S S I N T E G R I T Y We serve the underserved and food insecure populations of Kentucky. We supply recipients with fresh, quality, edible produce. We form partnerships with recipients who provide free access to fresh produce.
Scheduled Gleaning
Many gleanings, particularly those at farmers markets and grocery stores, happen on a weekly or daily basis. Learn about those opportunities at www.tinyurlcom/gleanwithus.
Rapid Response Gleaning
Gleaners On-Call
Sometimes farmers need gleaners to come harvest on short notice. Sign up for our Rapid Response Team will receive a text message when these opportunities arise.
