NDC’s – support through the Pacific Regional NDC Hub -­‑ For ¡some ¡Pacific ¡Island ¡Countries ¡(PICs), ¡the ¡development ¡of ¡INDCs ¡was ¡ hurried ¡to ¡meet ¡the ¡deadline ¡before ¡the ¡Paris ¡COP21 ¡in ¡2015. ¡ ¡ -­‑ NDCs ¡do ¡not ¡include ¡significant ¡sources ¡of ¡emissions ¡or ¡emission ¡reduc;on ¡ opportuni;es, ¡such ¡as ¡transport, ¡forestry, ¡waste ¡and ¡agriculture ¡or ¡oceans ¡ -­‑ ¡For ¡PICs, ¡their ¡priority ¡remains ¡adapta;on ¡and ¡resilience. ¡There ¡is ¡a ¡need ¡to ¡ strengthen ¡NDCs ¡to ¡beher ¡reflect ¡the ¡economic, ¡environmental ¡and ¡social ¡ co-­‑benefits ¡of ¡ensuring ¡that ¡infrastructure ¡and ¡ecosystems ¡are ¡resilient ¡by ¡ taking ¡into ¡account ¡climate ¡and ¡disaster ¡risks. ¡
