Goals

• Determine the ideal long‐term location and size for each

Southeast Galt school.

• Determine long‐term enrolment boundaries within the Southeast

Galt Planning Area to balance enrolment amongst the schools.

• Explore the long‐term sustainability of the schools in Southeast

Galt with particular focus on the impact of small schools.

• Establish the boundary and size of a new elementary school east
• f Dundas Street.

Goals

• Address site size and/or facility issues at St. Ambrose, St. Francis

and St. Vincent de Paul.

• Determine how the full day kindergarten program can be fully

implemented by 2014.

• Maximize the number of walkers.

Implementation

• Funding/Construction

– All construction projects are dependant upon receiving Ministry funding.

• Timing

– Boundary changes could be implemented as early as September 2013 – Any option involving the construction of a new school could be implemented as early as September 2016

Implementation

• Phasing

– The final option may be implemented in stages.

• Out of Boundary admissions

– Decisions around Out of Boundary admissions will be determined by WCDSB Senior Administration with input from the ARC.

• Grand‐parenting provisions

– Could allow some students to complete their elementary school education at their existing school.
