Pupil Premium
- Additional funding paid to schools for pupils who
have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years, or for children looked after by the local authority for more than one day
- Schools receive this funding (£935 per pupil) to
support their eligible pupils and narrow the attainment gap between them and their peers
- A premium (£300 per pupil) has also been introduced
for children whose parents have served in the armed forces in the last 4 years – focused on the ‘emotional and social well-being’ (DFE) of these pupils
