Our Mission Selfhelp is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to maintaining the independence and dignity of seniors and at-risk populations through a spectrum of housing, home health care and social services, and will lead in applying new methods and technologies to address changing needs of its community. Housing Resident Demographics • 1,236 residents in 7 buildings; affordable housing; independent living • Average age is 80; Oldest senior is 107 years old • 48% of seniors live alone • 74% of seniors are female • 9% have English as their First Language, 38% speak Chinese, 22% speak Korean, 17% speak Russian, 4% speak Spanish and other speak Armenian, Turkish, Thai, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi 2014-10-24 Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. 4

Resident Demographics (cont….) • 70% of our seniors are dual eligible (Medicare and Medicaid) • 28% have been living in Selfhelp housing less than 5 years; 37% have been living in Selfhelp housing 5-10 years; and 23% have been living in Selfhelp housing 10-15 years. • Socialization/engagement - 38% leave their apartment 1-2 times/week to socialize, followed by 32% who leave daily. 14% responded never leaving their apartments to socialize. • Use of technology - 24% of respondents have computer at home; 35% expressed interest in using Skype; 2014-10-24 Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. 5
