The Need for Minimum Standards
Build on the current processes Provide concise and reasonable threshold entry requirements Prevent irresponsible, unsafe or inadequate services Prevent unfair competition Enhance the City’s ability to comply with its obligation under the consent decree.
Objectives of the Minimum Standards
Amend the Leasing Policy to add the Minimum Standards as an addendum. Intended to ensure operators are reasonably fit and able to perform the services they seek to provide Meet City’s obligation under the consent decree Promote good service Ensure Fair competition Discourage unqualified applicants
The Minimum Standards Will Not
Will not apply to non commercial aeronautical service providers Will not create any additional rights other than what is in the consent decree Will not detract from City rights under the consent decree
