The Importance of Safety

Safety should be taken into account no matter what place, job,

• r assignment. Safety rules are needed to protect yourself and
• thers from the danger of what could happen during said job or
• situation. Without safety measures and rules, we will all be put

into dangerous situations without taking the proper percautions and with no solution.

Dangers if not being careful

Disregarding safety measures and rules can result in horrible results such as injuries, dismemberment, and even death. That is why it is importanat to establish safety. Here are some examples of what could happen during a job.

Stepping on nails

This is the result of someone who stepped on a nail because they werent wearing the proper boots for the job. Speacial carpentry boots protect the user from stepping on sharp objects, they can also protect them from items such as tools, materials, etc. from landing on the person's toes (steel toe)

Concussions/ Head injuries

Antything can happe during a job site. Objects are being lifted and carried, destroyed, etc. Who knows if in the process a piece of the material, some pieces

• f lumber, or even a tool

that a person might drop can land on a person's

• head. To avoid injuries or

even death it is important to wear a hardhat during such jobs to protect yourself.

Handling sharp equipment

In this picture, this person has gotten part of their fingure cut off because they werent careful with the saw. Be sure to properly handle sharp equipment, such as making sure everything is nice and operating fine, the item that is going to be cut is flushed with the saw, and no lose clothing or jewlery to avoid getting caught in any machine. Doing so can save you the trouble of losing anything valuable to you.

Double check

No matter what the equipment is be sure to double check that everything is working fine and is in order. Any sort of altercation, a bolt or screw being loose, any live wires, be sure to either fix the problem, get a new equipment, or stop using said item as soon as possible to avoid injuring yourself
