PRIORITY STAFFING – DECEMBER 2018

Process for staffing Hurshel Antwine 2019-2020 (4th, 5th, 6th)

1. Teachers in grade levels 4th and 5th will stay at Hurshel Antwine unless they request a priority transfer 2. Teachers in grades Pre-K to 3rd must request a transfer to the campus of their choice in a grade level they qualify for amongst the six schools (PDN, Ituarte, James Butler, Chester Jordan, Hurshel Antwine 6th only, or Elementary #30). 3. Teachers in grades Pre-K to 3rd who do not submit a transfer request will be displaced and will follow the process for displaced employees as per Regulation and Policy DK. 4. Teachers from PDN, Ituarte, Chester Jordan, James Butler, and Rafael Hernando may request a transfer to Hurshel Antwine 6th grade if they qualify (must have valid certification in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades). 5. PPCD and Kinder Collaborative teachers and special education paraprofessionals assigned to those units at Hurshel Antwine will be reassigned with the units to Campus #30. 6. SLU PBS teacher and special education paraprofessionals assigned to that unit at Hurshel Antwine will be reassigned with the unit to Sierra Vista Elementary. 7. SLU 1-3 teacher and special education paraprofessionals assigned to that unit at Hurshel Antwine will be reassigned with the unit to Jane Hambric K-8. 8. Any other staff (i.e. Custodians, Cafeteria Employees, Paraprofessionals, etc.) at Hurshel Antwine may request a transfer to any of the six schools. 9.

  • Mr. Ballard will have authority as per Policy to staff Hurshel Antwine with teachers and other staff

requesting a transfer.

Teachers in grades Kinder, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th will stay at PDN unless they request a transfer. 3. Teachers in grade 6th who do not submit a transfer will be displaced and will follow the process for displaced employees as per Regulation and Policy DK. 4. Teachers from Ituarte, James Butler, Chester Jordan, Hurshel Antwine, and Rafael Hernando may request a transfer to PDN all grade levels except 6th if they qualify. 5. ILC Teacher, special education paraprofessionals and nurse assigned to that unit will be reassigned with the unit to Hurshel Antwine Elem. 6. The PAS 4-5 unit will not be reassigned, therefore the PAS teacher and special education paraprofessionals assigned to the unit will remain at Paso del Norte with the unit. 7.

transfer.
