  14. Captain Cook Salt Market Analysis • Immediate Market - Newfoundland 300,000 t/y • Local Market - Atlantic Canada – Piccadilly Potash mine closure 800,000 t/y • Regional Market - Northeast US – Chilean Imports 5 million t/y

  15. Captain Cook Salt Feasibility Study • Feasibility Study - CDN $3.0 million • Geotechnical drilling • Resource update • Mining plan- mining method (shaft/decline) • Environmental permitting • Social communications • Reclamation plan

  16. Captain Cook Development Strategy • Feasibility funding $3.0 million Q4 2018 • Feasibility completed by Q1 2020 • Mine permitting and construction 2020-2022 • Production commences mid Q3 2022 • Seize opportunities in the North Atlantic market • Ramp up production to capacity of 2.1 million tonnes per year

  17. Ace Gypsum Project Location

  18. Ace Gypsum Project 2017 Drilling 2017 Drilling • Drilling resolved distribution of gypsum to a higher degree of confidence • Drilling identified areas for stripped stockpile (overburden, anhydrite) • Will utilize pre-existing access roads for ease of permitting

  19. Ace Gypsum Project 2017 Drilling

  20. Ace Gypsum Project Path to Production • Successful application for a Mining Lease at the Ace Zone of the historical Flat Bay gypsum quarry (2017) • Engagement of geotechnical consultants to prepare Environmental Registration and Development Plan towards a goal of 2018 gypsum production • Continued product marketing and establishment of potential customers • Drilling program completed on Mining Lease 239 • Development & Reclamation plan submitted and approved (Aug 2018) • Production commenced (Aug 2018)

  21. Marketing Company Vinland Materials Inc. A private integrated alliance of industrial mineral resource owners, mining operators, port operators and market ers (Vulcan is a founding shareholder)

  22. Contract Mining Contract mining arrangement with Vinland

  23. Production Achieved Loading Gypsum at Turf Point Port

  24. 2019 Outlook • Solicit buyers for 2019 production • Work with contract mining partners to maximize efficiencies in production and transportation costs • Evaluate the full gypsum/anhydrite resource potential for expanded market opportunities

  25. Black Bay Nepheline Project Location

  26. Black Bay Nepheline Project Location Project is road (paved) accessible and close to tidewater

  27. Black Bay Nepheline Why Nepheline • High-value industrial mineral used in wide range of applications: • Glass & ceramics production: alkalis act as a flux, lowering melting point in furnace = less energy, $$$ savings • Fillers, extenders & pigments (brighter, more durable than titanium dioxide) in paint, plastics, sealant, fertilizers (alkalis) • Potential open-pit mine - clean chemical-free processing

  28. Black Bay Property Project Status • Favourable results were obtained from 2016 mapping and sampling program: high-grade Al 2 O 3 in nepheline syenite is widely distributed • Preliminary metallurgical study completed to determine if the nepheline is amenable to physical concentration processing • Preliminary magnetic separation yielded concentrates as low as 0.12% Fe 2 O 3 (3 kg composite sample) • Detailed channel sampling program carried out in 2017 obtained a 3.5 tonne bulk sample, producing positive metallurgical test results

  29. 2018-2019 Outlook Captain Cook • Solicit Feasibility funding • Initiate & execute Feasibility Study Ace Gypsum • Ramp up production to seize market opportunities • Solicit buyers for gypsum production in 2019-2020 • Delineate gypsum resources for expanded market opportunities Black Bay Nepheline • Metallurgical test work ongoing • Marketing/partner solicitation
