Parent Support Group (P (PSG) • The PSG works hand-in-hand with the school to encourage family bonding through various activities as well as learning life- skills. • The members of the PSG provide support in major school events such as Sports Day, Learning Carnival, Racial Harmony Day, Teachers’ Day and P6 Entrepreneur Bazaar.

First Day of School Thursday 2 Ja Jan 2020 • Pupils are to report to school by 7.25 a.m . • Parents can walk their children to the foyer. • Teachers and prefects will assist to lead the children to the assembly area. • Parents of P1 pupils will proceed to the hall and attend talks before and after P1 recess. • At recess, parents can proceed near the canteen to wave to their children.

First Three Days of f School 2, , 3 & 6 Ja Jan 2020 • Orientation activities • Name tag to be worn at all times • To bring stationery, water bottle (only plain water), pocket money for recess (about $2) and snacks (optional) • Please label all personal items • Formal Lessons will begin on 7 Jan 2020

Recess Tim ime • Parents are allowed into the school premises on the FIRST DAY (2 Jan) only and watch your child from behind the cordoned area. • Parents are not allowed to buy food for their children in the canteen. • Please do not bring food for your children during recess or lunch times. Your children can bring packed food from home. • This is to allow your children to be independent.

Recess Time Buddy System The school has made arrangements for Primary 4 pupils to buddy the Primary 1 pupils during their recess ( 2, 3 & 6 Jan ), teach them habits and routines such as washing their hands, queueing up to buy food/drinks and getting a seat to eat their food, showing them where the toilets are etc.

  27. Car Policy • As safety of our children is always our priority, private vehicles are not allowed into the school premises after 7.10 am. • However, on rainy days, vehicles will be allowed into the school till 7.30 am. • During dismissal, vehicles are allowed into the school premises only after all the school buses have left. • Please observe all safety regulations and speed limit (not exceeding 15 km/h) when you drive in to the school.

  28. Children not feeling well / Emergencies • If your child is not feeling well, he/she should inform the teacher in the classroom. • Your child will be taken to the SICK BAY in the General Office. • If necessary, parents will be informed to come to school to bring your child home or to see a doctor. • If there is an urgent need for medical treatment, the school may send the pupil to the nearest clinic or call for an ambulance if necessary and we will contact you. • In accordance with advice from HPB and MOE, we will not use medicated creams/ointments to treat minor headaches or stomach-aches.

  29. Leaving School Early • Should you need to bring your child home early, please proceed to the school General Office to register your intention. • Please DO NOT go directly to the classroom to pick up your child. • All parents must sign in at the Security Post and complete the ‘ Permission to leave school early ’ form in the office. • You will only be allowed to leave with your child when you hand over the above form to the security guard at the main gate.

Group Accid ident Polic icy The school will be taking up a group protection policy with an insurance company to cover all pupils for any accident injury sustained during school activities within the school as well as outside the school. This practice is consistent across MOE schools. More details will be given next year.
