Part of Government’s Contest Strategy – the national Counter-Terrorism strategy Targeted at safeguarding individuals who are adopting extremist views that could lead to inciting hatred or taking violent action Working closely with other agencies and our communities to identify individuals who may need our support.

Where does the threat come from?

Nationally the concern is about international terrorists linked to or influenced by ISIS In Devon:

Extreme right wing groups Single subject campaigns – animal rights for example Some recent evidence of more influence from ISIS through clever communications

…but cannot ignore the chance that individuals are open to influence from the internet and can be a threat
