Diamond Combines OVERVIEW Register at www.diamondcombine.com • What is a RAPS Rating (Reaction, Agility, Power, Strength) • RAPS is a National Athletic Assessment and Collegiate Recruitment Evaluation • RAPS also allows the personal trainer and physical therapist the luxury of using what he created called a Hurricane score. The Hurricane score is a numbering system that rates the athletes for each event on a scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the lowest, 5 the best score you can achieve. From the Hurricane score the therapist and personal trainer can gauge where the athletes strengths and weaknesses are and conduct the appropriate training program accordingly. So RAPS not only helps the athlete but it provides the personal trainer and physical therapist valuable information to help their clients become better athletes. • Athletes are required to perform 8-9 sport specific tests that measure speed,power,agility,core strength,change of direction and endurance. Based on the results of these tests the athlete will receive a RAPS percentile rating comparing them by sport and position to other athletes across the country in their particular sport. A RAPS percentile score can be in the range from 0% up to 100% for the athlete.

The RAPS rating will give an athlete a realistic view of their overall athleticism and college coaches an idea of what level you would be most successful at. It allows athletes who otherwise would not get noticed with a good score to get on a school or coaches radar. With the Hurricane score an athlete will now know where their strengths and weaknesses are and how to go about improving upon them. • Depending on the results, your RAPS certified provider can establish a performance program to work on your weaknesses and improve upon your strengths. • With your permission your RAPS certified provider would send your scores to prospective college coaches. Scores play a significant role in the college recruiting process and will help you get noticed!
